EcoPaws is an organization that provides recycling pet products to major problems including the environmental crisis caused by plastic pollution and the growing problem of homeless pets. In addition, we also research and collect data focusing on Australia, where more than 130,000 tonnes of plastic and 80,000 homeless pets are looking for a home. Monash University Studios required that students research how to start up an organization with a limited budget and solve the problems we have researched. Furthermore, we need to create mockup products and campaigns to reach more clients and partners.

The results achieved in this project after research, we decided to focus on producing environmentally friendly products for pets, we strive to create a sustainable and compassionate world for pets and the environment. The customers we target include Gen Z (5-25 years), families with kids and Gen X (41-55 years). Our recycling products will be pet blankets, pet bandanas, pet beds, pet leashes and collars, and pet toys. To be different from other brands, the primary materials we source are cloth from Silk World and plastic, using polyester fibres from precious plastic. To reach more customers, we mainly use social media on Facebook, Instagram and the brand website. As a product designer, I used friendly pets as the main images on all products and billboards. I sketched out product ideas by hand, discussed them with my group and illustrated a final pattern on Illustration. Then, complete the mockup for Instagram, Facebook and billboards as well.

Finally, we had a presentation about our start-up EcoPaws with Monash Studios and received many positive comments from audiences and teachers, they were excited about recycling pet products and the business plan we will do in the future when start this business. Overall, this project meets the requirement of making the plan for a start-up business with the main purpose reduce waste plastic in Australia, and reaching more co-operate and customers through campaign products on social media and billboards.
