The photomontage is a technique of combining random images to create a certain image with specific content. The brief of this project is mainly to use Photoshop software, choose a famous foreign fairy tale and combine images to describe the story that I have choosen. The purpose of this project is to simulate a prominent scene of the selected story and adjust the tones to blend the images together.
The results achieved in this project is to accurately simulate the striking scene that I chose in the fairy tale, introduce the audience to the magical elements, the colours I used for this poster focus on the dark and added some clouds effect to increase the mystery part of the story. Also, the audience can identify the main characters and the plot through this poster.
The tutors from Monash University Studios have given postive feedback on my poster because the images are connected in colours and created a magical element in accordance with the brief. In addition, for this project I realized that I should challenge myself more with different ways of placing the main characters on the poster to make the content be more interested.
