The Animatic Video The Cat is a project that outlines a story using images and some basic unfinished movements. This is considered one of the initial design processes that helps designers orient their story. In this project, Monash Studios asked students to find a topic of interest and gather ideas that could create their own story. In addition, students are required to use Adobe Illustration software to sketch and then use After Effects to create animated videos.

The result I achieved in this project is that I chose the topic of how to understand my pet cat. After gathering all the ideas, colors and images, I decided to create a black cat image to highlight each film. At the same time, I created an additional character to narrate and assist the cat. Because I use Illustration software, I can easily edit the status and colors to my liking. Then I added a few sounds that represent the cat's state and how it interacts with its surroundings. Since the main requirement was to add basic animation to my character, I also edited it using After Effects software.

This project has received positive feedback from the tutors in Monash Studio as it meets the requirements of the project and was completed with Adobe Illustration and After Effect program and also received high engagement on social media including YouTube and Instagram.
